"The 2022 Viré-Clessé Charleston comes from a parcel on blue marl soils where the vines tend to suffer millerandage. This was picked from September 17 and spent one year in demi-muids and then 4-5 months in a tank. This has a discrete bouquet with yellow flower, Mirabelle and light lemon thyme aromas. Fine definition. The palate is crisp and taut, with a subtle orange rind note on the background. It's tensile with more focus on the finish compared to the Retour à la Terre cuvée." – Neal Martin
