"Dark red with ruby highlights. More liqueur-like and extreme than the Gevrey villages that preceded it in my tasting, offering notes of tropical dark chocolate and licorice. Quite concentrated and plush but a bit high-toned; shows a chocolate element that I associate with this premier cru but today I don't find the class of Suchots. Weber, who does not vinify this cuvée, prefers the delicacy of the 2014 version even if this is sweeter. I find it a bit chunky and medicinal, with the tannins slightly dry." - Vinous
