"This 2020 Barossa Valley Marsanne is plump, round and rich with toasted pineapple and a slippery texture. Everything in the mouth holds together—it is tight and exciting. It has great length of flavor. The round viscosity of the front palate suggests it’s going to be short and rotund, but it’s not. It draws out over the finish and has very good length. The Marsanne shows notes of butterscotch, honeyed citrus, stone fruit, white florals and apricot kernel. The palate is shows creamy phenolic texture, though not in the slightest part oily. Flavours of stone fruit and honey abound with light lemony acid to maintain the long finish. The wine finishes with white peach and subtle savoury ham hock, with persistent phenolics driving to the end of the palate.
