"The 2017 Riesling Steiner Gaisberg Auslese was harvested with some botrytis and has 33 g/L of residual sweetness. The nose is a picture of Williams pear—aromatic and pure, with both baked and fresh fruit. The palate is generous and luscious, with juiciness anchored by an attractive phenolic bitterness that channels this full-fruited, smooth generosity—a lovely interplay and contrast of flavors that define each other. The finish is medium sweet only; this just seems to be made for cheese." – Neal Martin
