"This has a gently stony, gravel-like edge with some blue fruit and a rich core of plums to the nose. Violets, too. Plush and full on the palate, showing great depth and richness with very juicy, rich plum and blueberry flavors. Supple, sweetly ripe tannins. A blend of old vines, planted in 1958. 92% merlot and 8% cabernet franc. Great value." – James Suckling
