Ken Forrester Vineyards, Dirty Little Secrets Two NV

"The Dirty Little Secret "Two" is Ken Forrester’s natural wine from vines planted in 1959 in Piekenierskloof. It has an attractive nose of wet wool, dried honey, mango and lanolin, well defined if not amazingly complex. The palate is slightly waxy in texture on the entry, offering notes of marmalade, caramelized pear, peach skin and white pepper. This is an interesting white but not exactly one that I relish drinking. Natural wine lovers will doubtless adore it, but whether such appreciation stems from the philosophy behind it or the intrinsic qualities of the wine itself is another matter entirely." - Neal Martin
