Gimblett Gravels lies in an abandoned river bed, where the vines struggle to survive among the stones, producing only a few bunches of deeply coloured, intensely flavoured grapes with superb tannins. Perfumed wine with an exotic fragrant bouquet, aromas of toasty cedar, white pepper, liquorice, spice and a touch of savoury oak. A rich, complex and powerful wine with layers of both flavour and texture yet elegant and balanced by focused acidity. Syrah at it's classical best.
