Felsina, Rancia Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2006

"The 2006 Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia is another of the truly great wines in this tasting. It is most similar in style to the 2001 for its power, but also has some of the aromatic finesse and complexity of the 2004. Layers of fruit build to the explosive, huge finish. Today the 2006 is big, implosive and tightly wound, but it will be absolutely gorgeous in another few years. Actually, it already is. Since its release a few years ago, the 2006 has continued to move towards a more refined expression of Sangiovese while maintaining all of the structure it showed as a young wine." – Wine Advocate
