Domaine Ogereau, Coteaux du Layon 1er Cru Chaume La Martiniere 2023 (0.5L)

La Martinière lies at the foot of the Chaume hillside, on the stoniest part. The Brioverian sandstone schist usually found on the left bank of the Layon are found here, with Carboniferous sandstones and poudingues on the higher ground. La Martinière is a south-west-facing parcel made up of 200 small rows planted on a full slope (30 to 40%). This terroir is incredibly concentrated and precocious. The small bunches of Chenin gorge themselves with sugar very quickly. Botrytis occurs vey early in the season.
Nose with notes of candied fruit, almonds and honey · On the palate, the balance is mor mellow than sweet.
