Today, we see the release of the 6 Crus of Lafleur. There are 2 wine merchants in Hong Kong that have a direct allocation and represent the estate, obviously we are one of them. This legendary Pomerol property sailed through the challenging climatic conditions in 2021 and has once again produced a range of phenomenal wines, receiving great acclaim from the critics.

As with all top estates, the same philosophy, time and patience are used in the making of all the Crus.....kudos to the Guinadeau family and their team!

A few words from the producers:

Despite the challenges caused by the climatic conditions in 2021, which affected many other producers, Château Lafleur succeeded in protecting its vineyards and sailed through these challenges, unharmed.

- Mild winter followed by early budbreak and frost in Spring

- Downy Mildew due to rainy weather in early Summer

- Summer conditions were favourable and allowed the vines to catch their breath

- Grapes ripened slowly during a hot September, with moderate rainfall

Tannins are ripe, silky and chiselled at the same time, leading to a long-lasting after-taste. The 2021 vintage carries the genetics of a great year, yielding noble wines of great definition, energy and length.
