"This second wine is mostly produced from selected parcels that are generally not considered worthy of inclusion in the grand vin. Jose Sanfins vinifies the grapes so as to offer a more fruity style, and less new oak is used to age the wine. In 2014 only half the blend is from Cabernet Sauvignon, with 40% Merlot offering more overt fruit. Closed on the nose, this is rich and plump, with some presence and swagger, and just a hint of rusticity on the finish." - Decanter
