Bouchard Pere & Fils, Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Suchots 2011

"Here the highly expressive nose is even spicier than that of the Beaux Monts if not quite as elegant with ripe black cherry liqueur and exotic tea aromas. The velvet-textured flavors are remarkably fine, indeed the word satin aptly describes the mouth feel. There is excellent volume and very solid mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a balanced and impressively persistent finish. As good as this is however, and it is exceptionally good, it just doesn't have the sheer class of the Beaux Monts but in fairness, Suchots rarely does."- Allen Meadows
