Bouchard Pere & Fils, Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Aux Reignots 2005

"Elegant, high-toned and distinctly floral notes of rose petal and violet aromas plus sweet blue and black pinot fruit that can also be found on the mineral-suffused flavors that are precise, linear, focused and cool on the chiseled and beautifully long finish. A striking and a very "Zen" effort that may surprise to the upside. Note: with the addition of another three months of élevage this is showing even better than it did in the Liger-Belair cellars last November for what is essentially, if not exactly, the same wine. Taken a step further, it suggests that I may have been slightly too conservative in my rating of the Liger-Belair version." – Allen Meadows
