"This is still a bit closed on the nose, but on the palate it is rippling with ripe-apricot and orange character. Dense and rich, almost to the point of being unctuous, although this is properly dry. Serious tannin structure behind the lavish exterior, which, together with the fresh acidity, keeps this on course through the very generous finish." - James Suckling

"Clear fresh lemon and lime colour. The nose is magisterial. There is a little light coconut even though only 20% new wood is used. Very distinguished though, and restrained. So smooth throughout the palate with excellent lifted citrus fruit acidity, waves of white fruit flavour course across the palate, a little essence of pear, but no feeling of undue heat." - Jasper Morris, MW
