Bouchard Pere & Fils, Meursault 1er Cru Charmes Domaine 2019

"The 2019 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru comes from clayey soils and was later-harvested. It has a tight bouquet, well defined, less generous than its peers at the moment but focused and more mineral-driven. The palate is well balanced with grapefruit and lime on the entry. Good weight and concentration in this Charmes, and quite a spicy, almost Alsace-like finish. This will be intriguing to revisit in bottle. " – Neal Martin
