"From the Combe d’Orveau, south facing but sheltered in the evening, offering a balance of sun and cool wind of the combe. Deep purple colour with some liveliness to the nose. There is good depth of fruit but despite the style, the laciness of Echezeaux has been maintained. Picked early, good decision." - Jasper Morris, MW

"More discreet though still moderately generous wood treatment suffuses the aromas of baked dark berries where copious amounts of floral and spice influence add breadth. The oak does show up on the palate as well though it's not really enough to detract from the wonderfully textured medium weight plus flavors that are also blessed with an abundance of dry extract on the youthfully austere finale." - Allen Meadows
