About Yao Family Wines

Upon visiting Napa for the first time in 2009, Yao fell in love with the quiet beauty of the Napa Valley. 2 years later, he announced the establishment of his estate with the help of Californian veteran, Tom Hinde, who had previously made wine at other top-notch wineries. Under his guidance, Yao Family Wines has quietly built up a portfolio that speaks for itself.

Their signature wine, YAO MING Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, was originally created to reflect classic Napa Valley winemaking as well as Yao Ming’s personal preference for smooth and balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. Since release, their red wines have received 90+ point scores from the most respected wine critics in the world and their Family Reserve was in James Suckling’s “Top 100 Napa and Sonoma Wines of the Year”.
