Today, we saw the release of the 6 Crus of Lafleur. There are 2 wine merchants in Hong Kong that have a direct allocation and represent the estate, obviously we are one of them. This legendary Pomerol property sailed through the challenging drought and heat conditions in 2022 and has once again produced a range of phenomenal wines, receiving great acclaim from the critics.

As with all top estates, the same philosophy, time and patience are used in the making of all the Crus.... kudos to the Guinadeau family and their team!

Despite the challenges caused by the climatic conditions in 2022, which affected many other producers, Château Lafleur succeeded in protecting its vineyards and sailed through these challenges, unharmed.

2022 is the culmination point in this series of great recent vintages. Tannins are ripe, silky, and chiselled at the same time, leading to a long-lasting after-taste. It is a great vintage, beautifully bringing together in harmony, the power, complexity, and elegance.

- A dry and cold winter with “real” winter temperatures.
- Frosts in April and significant hailstorms in June caused damage at a few of our parcels.
- Exceptional hot and dry conditions in the summer, but thankfully with short bursts of rain in June helped to alleviate the vines.
- Our vines and soils demonstrated their resilience under these conditions.
