John Forrest Collection, Gimblett Gravels Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Gimblett Gravels lies in an abandoned river bed, where the vines struggle to survive among the stones producing only a few bunches of deeply coloured, intensely flavoured grapes. This wine is concentrated in every way; from it's deep red purple to the aromas of cassis, tobacco, liquorice and dry herbs. The palate offers an intense experience of ripe black fruits and a touch of savouriness. Rich and weighty, with fine yet powerful tannins, this is a tremendous example of pure Gimlett Gravels Cabernet at it's best.
