The estate was founded in 1986 by Michael G. Etzel and his brother-in-law (“Beaux Frères” in French), the famed wine critic, Robert M. Parker Jr. Since their first vintage in 1991, the Beaux Frères philosophy has remained the same; to produce a world-class Pinot Noir from small, well-balanced yields and ripe, healthy fruit, that represent the essence of the vineyard. In 2017, Maisons & Domaines Henriot embarked on a partnership with Michael Etzel, acquiring Beaux Frères. Beaux Frères is located on a 128-acre farm on the most prestigious terroirs of the Willamette Valley (Ribbon Ridge) and adopts biodynamic and organic practices. The estate also uses non-manipulative and uncompromising methods, to craft the most natural and authentic wines.
