What We Offer

We would like help guide you through the elaborate and often complicated world of wines. Think of us as a friendly guide who will listen and make recommendations based on your needs and preferences. No matter the level of your wine knowledge we are confident that our informed recommendations will always delight, whether it be for a steady, well-known wine label or for a lesser known, small batch production label; help in selecting for your special occasion or a recommendation for “an every day wine”; from guidance on how best to store your wines, to buying wine En Primeur. We can also help you organize a tasting of your own, for a company event, or for a special birthday.

Having made the wine selection our clients can be assured of the authenticity and condition of the wines as no effort is spared during the procurement, transportation, and storage process. Most of our wines will be sourced directly from the producer, from trusted negociants and wine merchants.

Our services do not stop after the sale as we will provide advice and tips on how best to enjoy the wines. Wine maturity periods, serving temperatures, lengths of time needed for decanting, and food pairing all have a significant impact on the enjoyment of wines. MEET OUR TEAM

Eric Desgouttes

General Manager

Eric Desgouttes is a veteran of the food and wine industry. Trained in France, he has built a career spanning 30 years across France, the UK and Hong Kong. He spent his first 20 years working for Hotel groups including the Savoy Group, Hyatt, Shangri-La and the famous Hong Kong Jockey Club.

He then moved full time into the retail wine business with Watson’s Wine Cellar as Fine Wine Manager. His duties included managing the wholesale and VIP Division and all of the fine wine buying.

Eric is currently the General Manager of Kerry Wines Greater China. In his current role, Eric is responsible for overseeing and managing Kerry Wines Hong Kong and China, including the sourcing of fine wine for the company and supporting the development of the distribution.

Already affiliated with many wine associations including the Commanderie de Bordeaux, Chevaliers du Taste-vins and L'Ordre des Coteaux Champenoise. In 2013, the French government recognised Eric's expertise and awarded him the "Ordre du Merite Agricole".

Candice Chan

Director - Procurement

Candice has been working in the wine trade for over 20 years from selling Bordeaux fine wine to managing agency wine brands. In the past 8 years, she has been in the role of sourcing and developing wine ranges from around the world. Prior to joining Kerry Wines, Candice was the Senior Buying Manager for Watson’s Wine Cellar.

Mark Arrowsmith

Private Sales Director

A 20-year veteran of the wine industry, Mark Arrowsmith is Kerry Wines’ Sales Director.

In his current role, Mark oversees the private sales operation in Hong Kong. With his profound knowledge in fine wine, he is a regular speaker for wine events and garnered great experiences through hosting tasting events and dinners for corporations, associations and companies such as Rotary Club, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank and Hong Kong Law Society, to name but a few.

Mark arrived Hong Kong in 1989. Prior to joining the Kerry Group, Mark was Senior Wine Broker at Berry Bros. & Rudd Hong Kong and Senior Wine Consultant at Connoisseur Wine and Spirits Hong Kong.

James Owen

Private Sales Director

James has been working in the wine industry in the UK and Asia for over 17 years, in a wide variety of roles. The last 12 years have been based in Hong Kong. His diverse responsibilities have included notable projects such as establishing a retail platform and an education program for Berry Bros. & Rudd, as well as advising Hong Kong's most discerning wine collectors.

As Sales Director of Kerry Wines, James' role is focused on the business' expansion within Hong Kong and Greater China, through corporate partnerships and events. He continues to sell a wide range of wine, from everyday drinking to investment grade styles. He has a broad and loyal client base, including those novice wine drinkers or wine connoisseurs.

When not sipping on a quality glass of wine, he can be found hiking the hills of Hong Kong, sailing on the harbour, or debating the issues of life with friends over a good meal.

Steven Lee

On Trade Sales Director

A certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers of Americas. Prior to joining Kerry Wines, Steven worked in the food and beverage industry mainly in the US. During his time there, he served as Director of Wine and Spirits for the Michelin Star Sixteen Restaurant at the Trump Hotel in Chicago and before that he was beverage manager for NoMI Restaurant at the Park Hyatt Chicago.

In 2009, he was recognised as one of the top 50 sommeliers to know in the US by StarChef's.com in their 2nd Edition of Chef's to Know guide book.

Stefan Chen

Operation Director

Stefan Chen is Operation Director of Kerry Wines. In his current role, Stefan is responsible for daily operation and finance management in Greater China region, including but not limited to finance, logistics, human resources, and compliance.

Stefan has in-depth experience in operations and finance gained from having played important roles across a range of industries, including trading of wine and spirits, pharmaceutics and biotechnology, hospitality, human resources and electronics manufacturing. The companies he worked for include Novartis, the Fortune 500 multinational corporate, Bacardi, ASC Fine Wines, and Westins.
